Phil Fensterer

Phil is a freelance digital artist from Albuquerque, New Mexico, also known by his studio name Creative Schism. His work combines digital mixed media such as photography, 3D and digital painting. Phil creates a truly unique style to his art.

Always evolving, he is constantly learning and applying new techniques to his works. The art that he produces is surreal, dark and has a dreamlike quality. His influences start from Brom, Barlowe, Cam De Leon, Chet Zar and H.R. Giger among a long list of other amazing artists.

Phil's work has been published in magazines, books, cd covers and posters. His image "Lost Between the Sounds" has been published as the cover for the French version of S.P. Somtow's novel "Vampire Junction" and you can see his image "Time and Effort" in the digital art book Expose 5 from Ballistic Publishing His artwork can also be seen on posters and t-shirts for such bands like The String Cheese Incident, New Monsoon and Widespread Panic.

07/07/07 - Deviant Art featured the piece "Nowhere Bound" with a Daily Deviation

07/07/07 - Published image, "Time and Effort" in the digital artbook EXPOSE 5 from Ballistic Publishing with and was awarded with an Excellence in Abstract.
